What is Veganism?
In my opinion, veganism is the best thing I have ever done for myself.
You've probably heard the word "veganism" thrown around lately, but what is it? A vegan is defined as "a person who does not eat or use animal products." But it is so much more than that. Vegans do not eat meat, dairy, or egg. Also, vegans usually don't eat honey, don't wear leather or fur, and use cruelty-free beauty products. People go vegan for the unethical treatment of animals, for the environmental benefits, and for health benefits. For exactly why most people go vegan (and why you should too), check out the "Why go vegan?" tab.
"Adopting a plant-based diet is the single greatest action we can take to reduce our risk of many diseases, conserve water & land, protect our environment, reduce pollution, prevent species extinction & promote cruelty-free living"
- Marco Borges, plant-based nutrition expert and author
